Some ways of improving the game
There are several methods to improve the skills in Texas Hold'em. A player will first of all improve the skills by practice playing. The more hours a player has played the more experience a player will have. Experience is what keeps players from making mistakes that cost in the long run and they will also adjust quickly to other player's styles.
By playing online poker and reading books the learning process will accelerate. After a year of online play a player can have experience that corresponds to several years of live play. The books are great as compliment to poker because it will inspire and lead players onto the right tracks. Many beginners spend months before they grasp even the simplest concepts of what starting hands to play, something they could have done in two days by reading a chapter in a poker book for beginners.
There are many opinions about what online poker books a beginner should read. I have made a list and included some of my own favourites for beginners and some books for the intermediate players. The books I have included are also regarded by many others as good and helpful poker books.
